At the moment I am ssh into the myserver So I hope the error is due to

Holding disk /dumps/amanda: 140763092 KB disk space available, that's

Apparently you have the "holdingdisk xxx { directory /dumps/amanda }"
twice in your config file. Once is enough.
ERROR: /dev/nst0: not an amanda tape
(expecting a new tape)
Apparently the tape in the drive is not yet labelled.
You should label the tape using the "amlabel CONFIG SomeLabel001"
command (with label matching the regular expression you
specified for "labelstr" in amanda.conf).
NOTE: skipping tape-writable test

Amanda Backup Client Hosts Check
--------------------------------
WARNING: myserver.domain.co.uk: selfcheck request timed out. Host down?
Probably you did not install/activate the amanda service through
(x)inetd. Each client needs to have this. And the server is a
client for itself.
Client check: 1 host checked in 30.002 seconds, 1 problem found
Go on! You're almost there...
