Hi,

I can't seem to get amrecover to restore any files. I've just
installed amanda, and just backed up files for a few days to get
something on the tapes. Now I'm trying a restore-test, and it's not
exactly successful. Any hints?

ns1:/# amrecover daily -t ns1 -s ns1
AMRECOVER Version 2.4.2p2. Contacting server on ns1 ...
220 ns1 AMANDA index server (2.4.3) ready.

amrecover> setdisk /home

amrecover> cd oddrune

amrecover> add test.backup
Added /oddrune/test.backup
amrecover> extract

Extracting files using tape drive /dev/tape on host ns1.
The following tapes are needed: daily10

Restoring files into directory /
Continue? [Y/n]: y

Load tape daily10 now
Continue? [Y/n]: y
EOF, check amidxtaped.debug file on ns1.
amrecover: short block 0 bytes
UNKNOWN file
amrecover: Can't read file header
extract_list - child returned non-zero status: 1

I found a entry about this in the Amanda Faq-O-Matic, indicating that
I should rewind the tape first. I've done this and tested again, but
the result is the same. (Yes, it's the correct tape in the drive ;).)

This is a Seagate Scorpion 40 tapedrive. Both ns1 and ns2 are Redhat
7.1 systems.
