You can backup concurrently if you use TSM client backup the archive logs.
Depend on the "maximum mount point" which you set in the node attribute. I
think it's not good idea to backup the archive log and database concurrently
with different session.

I may be mistaken, but doesn't rman offer the capability of backing up the
logs AND the database? In other words, your A) task would do B), too. You
would still run B) periodically, too.
