Hmm, an interesting problem. Could be very difficult if you tried to add
up all of the active files on a host to get to that number....

Hmmm, you could get a pretty good ballpark number this way perhaps....

        I am assuming that you would want to restore the servers to the
time of the last backup. On filesystem backups, you should be able to
take the output from "Q file" (from the FILESPACES table) and work with
it. The filespaces table shows the size of the filesystems and the %
utilization that they were at the time of the last backup. Assuming that
you backup everything on the filesystems you should be able to multiply
the percentage by the filesystem and get the volume of data that would
need to be restored.

        It would take me a while to work through a SQL statement to get
this, but I figured if I threw this out and it was  kind of what you
needed, one of the SQL gurus on this list could hammer it out.
