Try to look for an SW and a vendor which can "migrate" your data to other
media in the future, instead of looking for "the media for a lifetime"!
What about the HW, SW in 10-20 years? Do you want to be forced to stay on
old instable and costintensive HW and SW, maybe allready in 10 years?

So look for flexibilty and for a vendor of which you believe that he will
exist in a few decades!

Does anyone know of a website/document that summarises the certified
lifetimes
for the various kinds of media available on the market today. I am
especially
interested in media that will last >50years

Thanks,

Stuart
