Maybe "nothing" is the problem...as in nothing getting throug from the library.
You are running AIX and apparently can readily reproduce the ANR8824E I/O
Error condition.  If I were you I would use the AIX 'iptrace' command to
watch host-library interactions and assure that nothing is missing.  You
might try an lmcpd upgrade as well to see if that helps.
