We run the ADSM V1 server on VM and in order to change the EXPINT option, we
have to bring down the server (which is a VM minidisk), go into the DSM.OPT
file and manually change the interval in there, then bring the server back
up. There is very little about it in our documentation either.

Dianne,
The ability to control expiration processing was added to ADSM Version
1 at some early PTF level. Check the release notes that came with the
latest PTF you've applied to your ADSM server (ANR1110 in SYS1.SAMPLIB)
