The command xnmsnmpconf will do it.

       xnmsnmpconf -event
       xnmsnmpconf -cre[ate] <configuration string>
       xnmsnmpconf -upd[ate] <configuration string>
       xnmsnmpconf -exp[ort] [-wcl[ist]] [-32[only]] [-verb[ose]]
[filename]

First you export the data into the file /usr/OV/conf/ovsnmp.conf. Then
you make a copy and edit it. Finally you recreeate or update the
database with the updated file. If a simple update or create doesn't do
it there are a couple "clear" options as well. See the Admin Guide or
MAN pages for details.

NV 7.1.5 on AIX 5.2

Is there a way to edit the SNMP Configuration directly for the purpose
of adding or removing large numbers of entries? My intention is to
remove the many individual node entries and replace with smartsets.
Thank you
