It should take no time at all. If it
hangs up, that means it is stuck talking to nvcold, or nvcold is stuck talking
to ovwdb. I would try to two sanity check steps: nvUtil L ovobjprint -S
If they don't
both return something pdq, then you know to worry about the health of the
database.

And i do, as true root - nvdbimport -fv
filename
My database seems to go out to lunch. This
command never returns and at the same time, ovobjprint -s never returns.
