RE: [nv-l] Smartset discovery

Nodes don't have IP Addresses. Interfaces
have IP Addresses. Nodes have 'SNMP ipAddress' for a field, but for a router
that won't always give you what you are looking for. Study the object information
for the kinds of devices you want to help you decide on the best criteria
for your smartset.

Have you specified “IsNode=true”
That will exclude interfaces which *would* be IP addresses in your
smartset.
Been there, done that, got the embarrassing PMR to prove it.
Just ask Paul.

Smartset rule is Definition 1 String attr: ' IP Address ' ~'10.10..'
Looking for IP that contains 10.10 and anything after that... It finds
them, Most resolve as IP a very small number resolve as names.
Display OBject information properties show 10.10.10.10: servername.domain.com
Doesn't make sense to me....

Is the smartset comprised of nodes or interfaces? What is your smartset
rule?
