RE: [nv-l] ATM problem

Community name is the same but they are both reporting
different number of routeEntries and there's a big difference and I've checked
this several times. The v6 machine reports 800 entries and the v7 machine
reports 2000 entries.
Make
sure that the "community" string, as reported by the following command, is the
same on both servers:
xnmsnmpconf -res DeviceName
Where
"DeviceName" is the "Selection Name" of the Network device in
question.

Yes

Sorry I miss-understood. I'm not sure how this
would make a difference... they both get the same information from the network
device and the v6 Netview always shows it up, while the v7 Netview shows it
red. If the CPU was pegging out at 100% it seams that both server
databases would be effected.

No, they both do SNMP.
Thanks
Let me be more specific... :-)
For that ATM device... does NetView
7.x and NetView 6.x have the exact same interfaces discovered? If you do an
ovobjprint <hostname> do you see the same number of interfaces from both
NetViews?
The CPU comment was for the network device, not the NetView
servers. When you do a demandpoll (from both NetViews) you see them both doing
ICMP polls?
