Craig,

Current NetView versions do not need Framework for install/uninstall.
Framework is not used in forwarding events, they get forwarded in a non-TME
fashion.

They can still forward events to TEC with no problem. TEC has to be
accepting non-TME events for NetView to be able to send them. For
NetView/TEC machines, they just need to be able to ping each other
(verifies communications). If there is a firewall in-between, you need
specific ports open which we explored in a previous Redbook.

Can they ping both ways? Is TEC receiving non-TME events? If so, then
you should be able to configure NetView with TEC's IP address to send
events.

Portmapper must be running on the TEC server for NetView to find out which
port that TEC is listening to. If your TEC machine is NT, then you need
to do additonal configuration at NetView that is outside their screens. If
this is the case, you need to put the port number in the proper
configuration file just like you would with any other TEC adapter.

Kind regards,
