$)CWhat do you see when you type in "locale"?
Not just LANG and LC_MESSAGES should be "C" but all the locale variables
(except that LC_ALL= should be blank). Ditto if you use "En_US".
If that's what you see, then starts nvevents from that window. Just type
"nvevents". Does the problem disappear? If so, then the problem is that
these are not enforce from the window in which you started the GUI.
Note that a Korean language kit is available in 7.1.1. You might be
happier just ordering that and not worrying about this.

Subject: [nv-l] characterset problem in Event Browser
Hello
I have a problem NetView7.1 installed on AIX4.3.3
In the Event Browser, the messages are broken like this...
--------------------------------------------------------------------
"F 4ù!1 26 10:22:44 2002 nms01 N TCP/IP
Client
Support Version: 04.03.0003.0000"
--------------------------------------------------------------------
When I check the /usr/OV/log/trapd.log,
--------------------------------------------------------------------
1019784164 4 1] 4?y 26 10:22:44 2002 nms01 N TCP/IP
Client Support version:04.03.0003.0000"
--------------------------------------------------------------------
'1]','?y',9v@|' are korean characterset. In Event Browser,'1] 4?y' is not
shown well,
I set LANG and LC_MESSAGES to En_US but this problem happens
Thanks in advance
