I had the same problem with CiscoWorks, but stayed at ML 9 and waited for a
solution, which took quite some time because CW2000 for AIX isn't (and
never has been) Cisco's priority.
But friday I finally received a patch (Bug ID CSCdw65663) and the problem
seems to be solved (it was a perl issue) !
And yes, I agree, it is sad that Cisco only continues support for NT and
Solaris ...

is ML 9 mandatory ? I installed ML 9 awhile back but had to back it off
because of ciscoworks 2000
ciscoworks 2000 will no longer function with ML 9 installed , cisco wont
support anything above 8.
sadly there will be no more new releases of ciscoworks for aix , only NT
