hi!
1. WEB client security (netview/NT): you have to edit a file belonging to
netview's "jetty web server" somewhere underneath \usr\ov. it is described
how to do this in netview's help topics (I guess you will find it in the
release notes, too). this security setup has nothing to do with WIN/NT or
Framework security - thus it has to be maintained separately.
2. "restricted submaps" is not possible in this release but netview
development have already got this enhancement request and we will hopefully
see this feature in the next major release.
best regards,
richard

Hello List,
I am trying to run Netview Web client but have some problems with logging
in. The Netview Web server and the Netview Console (with all the daemons)
have both been started. They are running on NT. I had created a operator
account as an administrator in the framework and I could log in to the
framework. However, I could not log in to Netview Web client using the
operator account. I could only do it with the Administrator account. Is
there any Netview security account that I have to set somewhere. I want to
configure Netview Web client such that when the operator log in to Netview
Web, he will only see restricted submaps like maybe one that show a
particular smartset/submap. Please advise.
Thank you in advance,
Tsubasa Kimura
