Yah, I tried $T and just got a very helpful '1' sent with each trap (not
sure how that corresponds to hundredths of a second since netmon was last
started but not much use either way) ... anyway what I'm trying to do is add
the time of the event to the paging so that the event time is sent with the
event notification since sometimes pages don't arrive exactly when the event
happened.

I take it there's no way of getting that information transmitted in a page
with the event?

Yes and no.  You can get the timestamp that was on the trap when it was
sent with $T.  But that is not he time you see in the trapd.log nor in the
evnt window.
Trapd.log shows you the time he got and processed it, the event window
shows his time, and the trapd time as "logged time".  $T would be the time
netmon sent the event, in hundredths of a second since he was last started.
Not very useful.
