This problem was reported last August during the v6 beta test, but NetView
Support never responded to it. I had (false) hopes that a fix for this
problem would be included in the GA code. I can offer this workaround that
seemed to work with the beta version: shut down the GUI and run the database
maintenance task "resolve inconsistencies . . .". When you bring the GUI
back up, the location icons should function like normal. In other words,
they seem to be "hosed" when they initially get created.
This certainly is a defect, though, and needs to be reported. I'd do it,
but we don't have the v6 code yet (some stupid licensing problem, you don't
want to know . . .)

If I then cut and paste routers into my location.conf- defined
Locations, they go into the user plane - bad news! I thought these
location.conf locations were supposed to be exactly the same as
hand-created ones?
Strange thing is, the first time I did this, the paste worked and my
router was in the app. plane as desired. I've blitzed the whole
database after ovtopofix'ing didn't help - router paste's still go inthe
User Plane (yes, the router has interfaces such that it should connect
to the networks in the Location).
Please guys - don't tell me this is working as designed!
