I think you need to select the "TME 10 NetView Framework Patch - 5.1," instead
of the "TME 10 NetView Framework Patch 5.0 to 5.1." The patch you selected
assumes you already have a 5.0 NetView server installed and is failing because
it can't find that existing NetView 5.0 server in the Tivoli database.

Subject: Netview for AIX installation errors

I used to run a Netview Demo for Windows NT. Now I am trying to install TME
10/Netview on an RS/6000 PowerPC running AIX and I am having problems. I
would be glad if someone could help-me.

Thanks and regards,

What I did and what happened

I followed the installation process, beginning with the installation of the
TME Framework. When I tried to install Netview Server 5.1, the installation
program told me I need to install NVTMP311 patch first.

When I tried to install this patch, which I guess is the same as
"TME 10 NetView Framework Patch 5.0 to 5.1", I got the following error

Checking patch dependencies...
