The most concise information about formatting traps is in the man page for
trapd.conf.   Type "man trapd.conf" and you will see the $A and other trap
variables referenced there.  If you are unsure about what the man page says,
then yes, this is covered in the manuals, mostly the Admin Guide, under the long
chapter on Configuring events.

Ok. I miss the information on $A.

   The only informations I get is on MIB descriptions.
   I suppose that I can found these new (for me) informations on TME 10 Netview
manuals.
