Sounded to me like the OP is doing direct NDMP. Those buffer settings
only affect remote NDMP.
I don't have "SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS_NDMP", just regular buffer settings set to 256k, I did change the buffer setting on the Celerra, and I tested with a Solaris media server today, I saw over 70 megabytes /sec on LTO3 tape drives. I also tried multi streaming and multiple jobs. I am planing to team the NICs on the backup media server as well to see if it gives any diffirance. Then I will see how 5T of data will be running.
