You have to remember that when you run
robtest – the robot is under your control – meaning netbackup
cannot do anything with the robot – like load the tape into the tape
drive or even see/control a tape drive.
If you use the bplabel command it will
load the tape into the drive for you – no need for you to do it.

don't use robtest - use tpreq &
tpunmount. NB's vm manager tracks that better.

Because my Drive are in Robotic Libraries
when I try and use robtest to move the tapes and then run bplabel from the
command line it errors out saying I can’t use bplabel because the drives
are robotically controlled.. However I can do it from the GUI as long as I
uncheck the check box that says “ verify media label before performing
operation “ ……Weird that I can do it from the GUI even though
it uses bplabel under the covers so to speak…..

Well, the answer is "use
bplabel".
How is it not working for you?

Tapes
Ok Gurus, I have this situation … I have a tape
labeled G00001 and I put a new physical barcode label Q00001 on the
outside of the tape. How do I change the internal label to match the external
label?? BPLABEL is not working for me…… Thanks……
