I run my test NetBackup environment using VM, no problems at all. For any testing for DR and so on, I would not mind to have on VM.

That was the link I think I was after, which I could not find on google :-(

I know VM works on clients, as I have many of these. But some "high classed company" had the idea of setting up all our NetBackup environment as VM !!

I told them to get ******d !

I just wanted more ammo that showed it was not supported as a VM solution :-)

No. Only NetBackup clients are supported.

It is not supported with any 6.x release. Refer to the the compatibility chart above.
