I am not sure the client version can be ahead of the Master or Media servers. I have never tried it

Hi, I'm new to Nb. if I need to upgrade my clients to MP4, do I absolutely need to backup my master server (solaris 9) to MP4 too? or keeping it at mp3 is ok?
