At a remote site we have mixed media types of dlt and dlt3 for the tapes
all of which are sdlt(600 gig) tapes.
The media density for the storage group was incorrectly set to dlt at
the time we went from standalone drives to this robot .  This is a twin
drive sun branded robot.
 
We need to change the media type from dlt to dlt3 on the storage unit
and for all the "dlt" tapes in the pool.
 
I assume we can delete each one that is not assigned and place them back
in the volume pool with the correct density.
If we do this is there a way to retain the mount count?
 
Is there a better way to make this change?
 

We are aware that during restore we must temporarily change the storage
unit for any assign media until we can change every tape to the correct
density.
