5 plus hours on the phone with tech support.  I am back up and running.
Had to jump through lots of hoops to get backups done on time but looks
ok now.
 
Issue was media server could not connect to the emm database.  Had lots
of attempts at connecting "netstat -a" but could not.  Uninstalled the
MP which left me with a flat 6.0 installation - reinstall - still not
connecting.  
 
Turned out it was an issue related to multiple NICs in the machine and
name resolution.  Don't know why the MP had issue with my setup, I have
been running 6.0 this way since it was released.
 
Watching/Monitoring closely today.  do not want any issues over long
weekend

        So I'd figured I'd take my chances and go to MP4,  Now I'm
broke.  Media server seems to think it should load the emm database.
Master can see media but if I try to configure storage devices, it tells
me they cannot agree on which should be holding the database and I
