I use the DSSU to backup WAN clients that are too slow to drive a tape
drive.
 
only 5 clients total about 100Gig for a full, so I've got about 150 Gig
on a DSSU to back those guys up.
 
my staging schedule runs every 2 hours from 8am to 6pm, Sunday to
Friday....just pops up, looks for images on DSSU that haven't been
written to tape, if it finds any, it dupes them, if it doesn't find
anything new, no harm.

bpexpdate -backupid and entered the backup id, however NetBackup stated
"No Entity was found".
         
        Yet, when done through the Catalog, it vanished fine!
         
        I have also now increased my Disk Storage capacity and will
perform a live backup this weekend.
         
        Will be creating a DSSU as well :-)
         
        May I ask what purpose you use DSSU for, and what sort of
capacity you write to disk, and when you write to tape? Any sort of
example would be good, just to be sure I am on the right track and
making the most of the DSSU facility.
