Hi,

I don't know about BAT scripts doing so unless you have the GNU DOS 
tools loaded (http://www.gnu.org/order/windows.html). If you do, then 
check out 'sed' or 'awk'.

In PERL it is a snap. There is a Date::Calc module (CPAN) that does many 
fancy date & format things.
