Actually, it works for windows and other os's as well, unlike jumpstart.

It will make a point-in-time image of a bootable OS for several different
operating systems from the same BMR server. That's a bigger trick in the
Windows world that most UNIX/Linux variants, I admit.

And the problem of recovery without BMR is less of a problem for servers
that have been built from the get-go with generic recoverability in mind.
