1 Master and 2 Media Servers each running Windows 2003 and NBU 5.1 MP4.
Each server drives 2 x Quantum SDLT 220 Drives, which are capable of
11MB/s.
=20
Strictly speaking about our backend network (non-routed, used for
backups only) each media and master server has a fiber 1000-T connection
to a non-routed switch.

I'm working here on improving the backup rates on many of our
servers and I'd like to ask everyone what has worked best for them?
We've got a gigabit back end running to most of our critical" servers
and dedicated Master and Media Servers running our SDLTs and ATL. At
this point, we think we need to focus on software settings and network
performance. I've increased the buffer the client uses for data writes
to 128KB which has shown marginal improvement, what other settings has
everyone else found success with?
