The general rule I have always used is use Frequency wherever possible -
in the case of daily or weekly backups and only use Calendar where
specific days are required - usually monthly or yearly backups. With
Calendar based scheduling you can get some unintended duplicate backups
where the window spans days.
=20
With Frequency based scheduling either use a frequency multiple of 24
hours (e.g. 1 day) or set the frequency to be an hour longer than the
window is open. If you use anything else you run the risk of schedule
creep as a result of the wakeup interval being slightly longer or
shorter than the configured setting.

Frequency is easier to setup; however, Calendaring may give you more
flexibility if you need to run something "off schedule." It depends on
the application I suppose.

With the Calendar you can schedule by Dates, recurring Week Days and
days of the month! You can even schedule a job up to 31st December
2037!!

=20

Veritas must think this version is going to last that long!!!! :-)
