I personally run frequency with a clever schedule so i have failover 
days incase full backups dont work at a weekend.

For eg. the weekly full schedule i set to run every 5 days, but with a 
window of sat,sun and monday nights 10pm-8am. This means if backups fail 
over the weekend i can see on monday, fix the problem then they run that 
night. They automatically try 5 days later which is the following 
saturday and are back in sync. A 7 day frequency would only try the 
following monday.

On the other hand if backups work on the first saturday they try again 5 
days later ( thursday ) but the window doesnt allow them to run, so they 
keep trying until saturday which is normal running day for full backups.
