Hello Song
This is just a wild guess. I first assume that there were no reported =
errors on the restore. How much data did the restore say that it =
restored.?
My wonder is if the files that were backed up had a huge number of =
blocks with contents of zeros. Then perhaps on restore netbackup created =
a sparse file.=20

Subject: [Veritas-bu] slow restoration on clone volume
Hi all,
I facing slow restoration for clone volume, below is my configuration.
- Netbackup 5.0(MP3)
- L25 library with 2 HP LTO drives
- EMC snap clone (clone oracle database & application database)
- Mount the clone volume on master server to perform backup.
Backup was completed in 2hrs (110GB for oracle clone volume) and 13min =
(11GB application clone volume) clone volume. I remove all the data in =
both clone volume and perform full restoration, suprisingly after almost =
4hrs only restore about 5GB.
Any idea what going on?
Thanks.
