I have read the tuning guidelines etc about changing and adding entries into
*/*usr/openv/netbackup/NET_BUFFER_SZ
/usr/openv/netbackup/db/config/SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS
/usr/openv/netbackup/db/config/NUMBER_DATA_BUFFERS
I was wondering is this still neccessary for performance improvements
with netbackup 5mp3 ?
Im running on Solaris 9 with LTO2 tape drives. I just doing a test
backup and although i dont rely on it the job tasks is saying its
getting 3800kbps which to me is very slow for LTO2.
Do i need to add these changes? Im just slightly worried because im
running mpx of 10 on some drives and i know the shared memory factors
for the netbackup tuning is a multiplication of (buffer_size *
num_buffers) * drives * MPX
Anyone any tips?
Cheers
