Hi Scott,
=20
this is the introduced line by StorageTek in the customers now:
=20
"HP Ultrium 2", "HP LTO Ultrium Generation 2",
"HP_LTO2",
HP_LTO2                      =3D            2,0x3b,0,0x18659,1,0x42,0;

Would someone also have any suggestions for the st.conf file using HP =
LTO II
tape drives in a similar StorageTek library?
=20
Thanks,
Scott J.

Help anyone,=20
             Can anybody tell what lines I need to add to my=20
/kernel/drv/st.conf file to get the best compression and performance. I =
am=20
currently running Netbackup Data Center on Solaris 9 with a StorageTek =
L80=20
library and Quantum SDLT320 tape drives.=20
         Also the tape drives all have the cbn flags (ex. =
/dev/rmt/0cbn) Is=20
this correct for hardware compression? I get zero compression when =
software=20
compress is off. And with Software comp. on I get only around 34%=20
compression. This on a directory with only text files. Called Veritas =
and=20
they where no help at all.=20

Any help would be great!!!=20

Thanks in advance,=20

Jeff=20
