Basically, the NEW_STREAM directive can't be used by a user-directed backup
- only for scheduled backups.

To do user backups in multi-stream, you simply break up your filelist & run
multiple bpbackup commands.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] NEW_STREAM Question

How can you get directives to be recognized from a file list ?

I know how to do it from the GUI, but when I try to add the NEW_STREAM
directive at a unix file for a user backup it uses it as file.
For example, if I type on the file list the following and the name of the
file is /tmp/filelist.lst
NEW_STREAM
/PATH1
NEW_STREAM
/PATH2
NEW_STREAM
/PATH3

When the backup starts it will be backing up
/tmp/NEW_STREAM
/PATH1
/tmp/NEW_STREAM
/PATH2
/tmp/NEW_STREAM
/PATH3

Let me know how can I get the directives to be recognized.
I did selected the "Allow multiple data streams" option.

Carlos
