Might be able to use cron to stop the AV program. It would depend on
whether the AV program needed any keyboard input to be able to close.
Even if so, you should be able to get something like stuffkey to do it.

Hi there,

With bpstart/bpend it's possible to start/stop scripts on Unix/NT
boxes.
Is something similar for Netware 5.0/5.0/6? The goal is to stop
antivirus
programm before starting the backup and to do the same when backup is
done.

I'm using NT/UNIX master servers and NW 5.0/5.1/6 clients (target)
