I just linked solaris 2.6 to 8 and added the client and it worked fine. I
still havent figure out hoe I can add my Red hat boxes.

Any idea?

In Netbackup, the Solaris 7 and Solaris 8 clients are merely symbolic links
to the Solaris 2.6 client. You should be safe. I don't have any experience
with the Linux clients.
