[Veritas-bu] bpduplicate taking 14 hours?

I'm allowing multiple streams, but media multiplexing is set to one. When
the system gets backed up, i can write one stream to each tape drive.

Karl
Was the backup a multiplexed backup, or spanned more than one tape, backup
was using TIR ? This will cause a duplication to take much longer than
normal because of all the preprocessing that needs to be done.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] bpduplicate taking 14 hours?
I'm wondering if someone has run into this before. I'm trying to duplicate
some year end tapes. I have a library with 2 mammoth tape drives. I'd like
to think that a tape copy would take 2 hours, but this one took 14!
I'm running Solaris 8 with progress databases.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
