If you're using new hardware, you could build the new server with the new name
and then use "bpmedia -movedb -ev media_id -newserver hostname -oldserver
hostname" to move the information from the old media server to the new one and
update the image catalog on the master.  A list of all medias on the media
server could be gathered using bpmedialist.

You'll also need to update the STU and the Server list on each client.

Hello,

I am considering upgrading one of media server.  The new server will
(unfortunately) have a new name.

Does anyone know what would be involved in moving a media server to a server
with a new new?
