[Veritas-bu] Exchange Mailbox backup

Greetings, 

I have installed Veritas NetBackup Datacenter v3.4GA on Microsoft Exchange
Server. The Exchange database backup is going through fine. 
However, the Exchange Mailbox backup takes too long a time to backup
individual mailboxes. It takes ~20 seconds to backup a single mailbox. 
Also I have noticed that before backing up the mailbox, it takes ~1.5 hours
to scan all the mailboxes. For a large Exchange server, this process
consumes too much of a time. Is there any settings/configuration that would
help me reduce the backup time?
