I just wonder what you want to achieve with the "(total) export of the NW 
configuration". 
  - For the look at a specific resource, such is an overkill.
  - For a backup, you have all resources in the daily bootstrap.

But can you recover only the resources from the bootstrap without overwriting 
your media index? - You bet! Just use the following command:

     recover -d dest_path -S bootstrap_ssid -a /nsr/res                         
        or
     recover -d dest_path -S bootstrap_ssid -a /nsr/res/nsrdb                   
    

And do not forget rap.log ...
