I'm told that this is a licensing limitation only, and not a technical
one. You should be able to assign the mailbox servers to themselves as
storage nodes, so long as you have full storage node licenses (or capacity
licensing).
If you've been told otherwise...please let me know and I'll ask again.

I would love for this to happen, and if you believe some of the EMC
folks, it is supposed to be in version 2.4 of NMM. Until we see it in
writing, we won't know for sure that it is in NMM 2.4.
I am not aware of any workarounds with this.

Subject: [Networker] nmm for exchange 2010 with dedicated storage nodes
Hi,
I noticed in the NMM 2.3 release notes that it says that one cannot use a
dedicated storage node with Exchange 2010 in a DAG configuration when
using NMM.
(Dedicated storage node - Dedicated storage nodes are supported for all
the NMM supported applications, other than Exchange Server 2010 DAG. For
dedicated storage node support, NMM and the storage node must be on the
same machine.)
Does anyone have more information about this? Such as why it is an issue,
if there is a workaround, etc?
Thanks,
Dave
