You get the list of files that are backed up in a particular saveset
using
the nsrinfo command. For reasons known only to the original developers,
it operates off the savetime, rather than the ssid.

I think I've asked this question before, but is this information (e.g. size, user, permissions, mtime, etc.) stored in the client's index only, or is it also stored on the tape?

If it's in the client's index - never mind the tape - then why do they not provide a command to view it without having to use recover or nwrecover? Seems silly to restrict it only to what nsrinfo reports.

George

Keep in mind if you're looking for data from Netware clients, nsrinfo
doesn't do that, IIRC.

It does, but because of the directory separator that's used and the
"namespace" issue, the file names that nsrinfo reports may appear very
different from how the filenames appear on the NetWare volume.
