In regard to: [Networker] how to get file data from saveset., Rudy Munguia...:
I have tried to use scanner to get a list of file names/size/ctime/mtime
directly from a saveset and I keep ending up with streams of
undecipherable characters.
Is there an easier way to get this data other than doing a saveset restore?
You get the list of files that are backed up in a particular saveset using
the nsrinfo command. For reasons known only to the original developers,
it operates off the savetime, rather than the ssid.
I've never been able to make nsrinfo give me sizes or mod-times for the
files, maybe there's a way but I don't know what it is.
nsrinfo has been discussed on the list before, if you need examples of
usage, check the archives.
