So I have another directive question. Some may remember my last question -
about using 2 client defintiions; 1 using a directive that listed savesets
explicitly, and another client definition that was a "catch all", that
caught savesets not specified in the first client definition. That
directive turned out to look like:
<< "H:\clarity" >>
+skip: .
<< "H:\crm_implementation" >>
+skip: .
It did not work to have <
<< "H:\" >>
+skip: clarity crm_implentation
I use a FULL of Fri, Level 1 on weekdays schedule. And the 2nd method
above tried to do a FULL on everything, for some reason. But its not that
big a deal to list the directive like that, as it is a one time set up of
that directive. But here's my new question:
On the 1st client mentioned above, I list specific savesets
H:\clarity
H:\crm_implementation
H:\Users
etc
What I need to do is to set a (hopefully global) directive to skip
specific filetypes in one of those listed savesets. Specifcally, one of
the listed savesets is the user's home folders, and I want to skip any MP3
files (don't ask why they have them at all, that's another old problem
we're clearing up). So what I need is a directive that looks like this:
<< "H:\users" >>
+skip: *.mp3 *.MP3
I've never used a directive that said to skip specific filetypes, while
also asking for a specific saveset (I've skipped filetypes before, but
only with a saveset of ALL, or a whole drive H:, for example). I do *not*
want to skip MP3s in other folders, however. We make training videos and
audios, and I want those MP3s. But they should be in departmental shares,
and not in the user share.
Has anyone done this?
