It only means that 7.3 and higher clients now have to be compatible with
lower rev servers. That means the developers have to qualify the new client
code against older NW server code before they release a new client. Thus you
can upgrade the clients first.

Apologies for sounding dense - does this mean my older servers running 6.x
clients (and absolutely cannot upgrade) will not be able to talk to the
7.4.x server group?
This is going to cause some annoyance (and splitting my datazone in two) if
so.
