I have all of my clients using just a host name and not FQDN. The error is 
referring to the FQDN. I have never used FQDN before. Is everyone else 
using the FQDN for their client names?

No, its because the client where you are doing the recover is using a 
different hostname than the name NetWorker knows it as. Try using the - 
parameter on nwuser as in

nwuser -c hn

where "hn" is the host's name as NetWorker knows it.
