If you need EMC support consider the following too.

> - 6.x -> 7.3.3 if your server and storage nodes are all qualified on 7.3.x
7.3.x is end of life December 2008

> - 6.x -> 7.2.2 if some of your storage nodes or server are not qualified on 
> 7.3.x
7.2.x end of lif end June 2008

> - 6.x -> 7.4.1 if upper management insisted

7.4.1 is not so bad :-)
