What I did at a customer of mine was to compare/diff 
sjirdtag output with nsrjb one.

Doing so, I coild retrieve uninventorized slots
or inventory mismatch. (eg an operator who opened lib
and swap 2 vols). A good stuff was also to check for
slot with medium present and no barcode field.
Eliminating this avoided networker to reset lib when 
barcode cannot be rode or problems when networker
tries to label such a tape in march barcode jukeboxes.
