Marcelo -

If you have a large number of files - and a server that is running slow, you may be hitting the groups inactivity timeout before the client finishes compiling its list of files.  You may want to disable inactivity timeout as a test.  Go to customize groups, pick the group, view details, about 2/3's down is Inactivity Timeout" - set it to 0 (disabled).  The default is 30, which doesn't match the timings you have listed below, but maybe it was changed.  Hey, it's something to check on at least.

[Networker] backing up large files, nsrexec get timeouts

Hi people, today , for the last week we are unable to backup a client
with a file system of 240GB over 100mb WAN link. always i got
connections timed out, i test the link doing a a ftp file transfer from
the host to the storage node, and it works, and the ftp was with 5 80GB
files each , wich i was also unable to backup with networker.

server = Solaris 9
SN = RedHat ES 3
client = Solaris 9

server and SN are 1GB copper connection, the client is on another switch
at 100mbps
04/19/06 04:26:18 nsrd: savegroup info: starting  <NWGROUP> (with 1
client(s))
04/19/06 04:48:46 savegrp: command 'savefs -s <server> -c <client>
-g <NW_GROUP> -p -l full -R -v -F /clon ' for client <client>
exited with return code 9.
* <client>:/clon Connection timed out
04/19/06 04:48:46 savegrp: <client>:probe will retry 1 more
time(s)

any ideas or hint on where should i look?
Thanks in advance!
